I chose the Plato quote as well. I think play is very important and every adult should stop what they're doing and play with their child at least once in a while. You truly do learn so much from them by playing with them. It's sad because in this day and age, we get so busy with all the activities we have going on and sometimes don't feel like we have enough time for anything, let alone playing. I try to sneak in play time with my kids as often as I can. I'll have them sit down at the kitchen table and do their homework while I make dinner and I pretend that I'm their teacher and they're my students. Other times we play beauty salon while I'm fixing their hair or taking them a bath. It makes the usual routines a little more exciting.
