Words of Inspiration and Motivation

President Lyndon B. Johnson- "Doing what's right isn't the problem. It is knowing what's right."
" Education is not a problem. Education is an opportunity."

Dr. Abigail Eliot- In 1944, Abigail outlined a set of beliefs that anticipated contemporary early childhood education in the United States. She urged teachers to help children develop "balancing traits," and at the same time, to supply what they need for self-realization.

  1. I totally agree with Johnson and we as educators need to make sure we help children to understand how important education is. Especially in today's society education goes a long way.

  2. The first part of President Johnson's quote is interesting."Doing what's right isn't the problem, it's knowing what's right." I had to mull over his words for several minutes. I think he is correct that knowledge is the initial problem. However, it is also true that once we know better, we ought to do better. Once given the gift of knowledge, we are accountable. If we know what is best and yet choose not to do it, it becomes a societal problem.
